Hey there I'm pretty new to this. Why do I have to reset the N/D filter and the temperatur preset and the gain? Why does it affect the process? Can anyone explain?

This is a rather stupid test. You have a huge green reflecting area which will make the face look green, but green faces do not look good. Arri camera is picking the color as they are supposed to be (green) and that makes the other two look better because the face is not green on them which means their color fidelity is not as good!125k views and less than 400 likes! I wish I could see the dislike number!

From this video it looks like CP.2 are the worst lenses ever.... uhm. Even after this much time, I am not sure at all! Why does Zeiss show all those magenta and yellow lines, is that even chromatic aberration or something worse?? I would have sent the lens to be serviced, honestly, it is too weird. And why you don't show the 18mm, to check if it gives so dramatic results too? Where is the rest of the test?

Any idea to generate time code with multiple camers?

I've had my sony pd1700 since 2006 and never understood the time code..wow what life-saver information especially since this is getting to be a Dianasor.. I put together a three point video and had to play with the timeline in post production way back then. Today i was looking at setting up my timecode for the BMPCC 4K i purchase to be used with my two Sony PD1700 thinking...does it have time code? Sure enough i found you..l!!

useless lens test. where are the faces? Skin tones? how do the render the face? roll off? I don't see many focus charts in the movies i watch. this is for Nerds.

This is laughable. The camera would have to out-resolve the lens in order for the optical resolution test to have any sense. Testing this on a 4k / 12 MP camera sensor???????? The guy is a complete joke.

ARRI has really designed something here... I also used to think that there’s a million light to be setup for such a shoot/show but ARRI proved me wrong. It’s amazing how Visual Impact makes things easier. You’re clearly a VERY experienced company! 👏🏾👌🏾

Seems like the Alexa had the best color to real color match while the sony was completely off and removed the entire green shine. The red still had some but that was smoothed over the entire picture guess it’s jus Forza that does something internally with there sensor.

Where is that follow up video?

f55 - not shot on raw Sony capture so not a fair comparison also the iso was set differently as well f55 raw really compares to Arri Alex 65

Strange, ... these lense were promising but it seems they will not be produced no more. So, to purchase a used kit would be very risky now, since you will have no support no more if one of them breaks... Apart from what failed here a little bit on this test IMHO, it's an unfair comparision since the Ultra Primes cost ten times more in the 6 pc kit.

The room lights were horrendous, that or the compression from youtube killed this because of bad compression settings in your compressor

BLADE RUNNER 2049 should have been shot on the F55 hands down. The Arri Alexa's tones are good but both Arri's and Red's tones have more green and yellowish tones .. changing the Alexa's lut is cheating (IMO)
